Linux

What is it?

Linux is family of operating systems, (or OS) which are completely open source and unix like, founded by Linus Torvalds in 1997. There are so many distributions, or distros for short, made by the community that it is incredibly easy to find one that fits your needs.

Why should I use it?

There are many benifits to using Linux, or alt tech in general, one of them being privacy and security. Mainstream techonology, Microsoft being one of the worst culprits, loves to invade your privacy and is filled with bloatware, and make it almost impossible for you to costumize your computer, even though the hardware can clearly handle it. Linux, on the other hand, is completely costumizable, allowing to change everything from your log in screen, to how it boots up. With Linux, it actually feels like it is your computer.
